I’ve been eyeballing Golden Age ribbon mics for a while and happen to have one on loan, so I thought I’d conduct a quick comparison test against my stock MXL condenser mic.
Made an impromptu ditto loop and recorded it four times: Ampeg Gemini with ribbon, then condenser and Benson Vinny with ribbon, then condenser. Enjoy.
